This video shows a short demo outlining the effects of read-only replication in an in-memory database cluster. Using the in-memory storage engine Hyrise, running four database instances on different compute nodes, read-only transactions are distributed across all three read-only replicas, reducing the load on the master node and allowing for a higher query throughput.
